Children's House Kindergarten Elementary Middle School
LCMCS is very pleased to offer a fun, exciting and educational summer program for your child. Justice Evans and Danielle Miles will lead these 6 weeks of adventure in learning. Justice and Danielle spent a year in Colorado learning native and pioneer living skills, plant and animal identification, survival skills, traditional crafts and folklore. They want to share their knowledge with your child!

Program participants will learn the art, craft and science involved with exploring their world and learning new skills. Each week has a different theme that stands on its own, though taken as a whole; the skills learned can also build from one week to the next. Content will be presented age level appropriate to the week’s attendees, and older and younger students may have separate learning opportunities to accommodate ability levels. All programs will be held at the St Paul’s Campus located at 24510 SE Hwy 212 in Damascus, OR, where the open indoor space, the nearby forest, creek and ravine, as well as the surrounding fields, offer the best facilities for summertime exploration.

Registration is open to children ages 5 1/2 to 12 years and pre-registration is an absolute must! Choose which week(s) your child will attend, and choose the option of half day, 8 AM – 12 PM, or full day, 8 AM - 4 PM. Half day includes time for lunch. Call program coordinator Justice Evans for more information. Nutritious snacks and beverages will be provided, but all children must bring a sack lunch each day. There will be time each day for reading, art, and just plain social play and relaxation.

Participants will make their own tall tales, legends or myths, and we’ll make time to create sets and act them out. Half day 8 AM to 12 PM

Full payment for the first session must accompany registration. A 10% discount will apply to siblings signed up for the same session, as well as for all sessions for individual participants who sign up for 3 or more sessions, consecutive or alternating.

We have worked to keep fees reasonable, and there will be a minimum number of participants for each week to keep to our budget. There are a couple of work/trade opportunities based on need, so please contact Melissa Harbert at mharbert@lcmcs.org if you would like more information on this possibility so your child may attend.
