We will be looking to fill the following positions for Fall 2009 :
Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher
Start Date : August 2009
The Lower Elementary Montessori Teacher is responsible for grades 1-3. Teacher is responsible for montessori curriculum, classroom management and parent relations. The teacher has an interest in the whole school as well as his/her own classroom. Wonderful opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a highly motivated team and families excited about thier children’s education.
Qualifications:
- Oregon Teacher Certification
- Montessori experience and/or certification preferred
- Experience teaching at assigned grade level. Montessori experienced preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to provide classroom management.
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate, or ability and willingness to obtain certification.

Lower Elementary Instructional Assistant
Start Date : August 2009
The Lower Elementary Instructional Assistant works in a classroom, grades 1-3, assisting the Montessori Teacher with classroom management and instruction. S/he is to help maintain order in the classroom, supervise and support students under the direction of the Teacher. The Instructional Assistant works closely with the classroom teacher in creating a postivive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children the age level of the desired position/assigment
- Experience working in an educational setting required, Montessori setting preferred
- Demonstrated ability to provide classroom management.
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate, or ability and willingness to obtain certification.
