Enrollment at Lewis and Clark Montessori Charter
Lewis and Clark Montessori Charter School is open to all families who desire a Montessori education for their children. Prior to enrolling children at Lewis and Clark Charter, parents are asked to attend a meeting describing Montessori Elementary education and the critical role of parents in helping the school succeed.
Enrollment for Lewis and Clark Montessori Charter occurs through the Charter School Public Lottery Process. The Public Lottery for Lewis and Clark Montessori Charter School will occur in the Spring of each year for the following Fall enrollment.
To be entered in the lottery and considered for enrollment, parents need to complete an application for each child they wish to enroll in the upcoming school year and return it to the school office by the date shown on the enrollment form. Parents must agree that they are familiar with the Montessori method, that their children will be able to participate appropriately in a montessori classroom, and that they are willing to complete 40 hours of volunteer work for Lewis and Clark per academic year.

2008-2009 Enrollment Information
A few positions for first and second grade students for the 2008-9 school year are still available.
Enrollment forms are being accepted for 1st, and 2nd grades for the 2008-2009 school year, and will be reviewed on an as-submitted basis for remaining available student positions. Out-of-District applications are being accepted; district-transfers are not required for charter school applicants.

Prior to entering the Enrollment Lottery, you must attend an informational meeting to learn about the Montessori philosophy and about Lewis and Clark's role as a public charter school. If you cannot attend one of the scheduled information sessions please call 503.912.1367 or email info@lewisandclarkcharter.org to make other arrangements.
